Most of the time, I see HTML tags closed with a right bracket. But sometimes, I see where they are closed with a slash and then a right bracket. Like this: />
What’s the difference? When is appropriate to use one or the other?

Well, in HTML coding a command starts with a word, like "bold" and then everything after that is bold until the bold command closes, which it does with a leading slash, "/bold"
