   A book can be both young adult and urban fantasy. House of Night may be written for teenagers, but it is still urban fantasy.

   I’ve always wondered how twilight managed to attract so many readers even though it wasn’t the 1st urbanized vampire romance novel. Now I can see the covers of most V.R’s have all that, bareback, tattoo, weapon, moon, mombo jumbo, But twilight’s cover takes a simpler approach with an apple in hand. Say what you will but EVERYONE judges a book by its cover.

   This is hilarious! The really funny part is that they shelve Urban Fantasy in so many different sections–from mystery to science fiction to romance–that I find myself on the look out for the typical cover in order to find UF. So, this is true and well done and even fans of the genre(like me) have to laugh and nod!

   “a few certain novels up there are not urban fantasy or paranormal at all.” I think they are up there because their covers look similar to the covers of actual urban fantasy or paranormal novels.

    I’d appreciate it if you’d read closely on the video. He’s comparing Urban Fantasy covers. I was pointing out his mistake at telling him that a few certain novels up there are not urban fantasy or paranormal at all. They are books for children.

    Did I trash his video? No I didn’t. I actually enjoyed this video because I thought it was very true. A lot of urban fantasy covers are similar.

    I have no time for immaturity from someone who doesn’t even realize the point of this video.

    All the P.C. Cast & Kristin Cast books about the House of Night need to leave this video. They are NOT urban fantasy. They’re young adult. And lol. You put in A Great And Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray. That book falls under the category of where Harry Potter is.

    Do you have something against urban fantasy?

    I like urban fantasy books.
