I know a lot of teenagers try to write books, and I know a lot of them get bored and don’t finish or never do anything with it. But how many actually submit their work to publishers? And do they ever get published?

I’m not sure but i have been thinking about writing a novel for a few years, i want to write to inspire and share my insight and perspective of the world, but i dont know where to start. Do you or are you thinking of writing? )))

I like a sort of dystopian, futuristic, or medieval fantasy kind of setting.

Yes I’ve read Hunger Games series, however I was very put off by all her stupid boy trouble so I’m kinda looking for books with a similar setting minus (or with just less of) the romances that are just more of a bother than anything else.

The Fetch– Laura Whitcomb (Now, I want to say that the whole book screams it’s a romance but there were about 2 sentences concerning whatever ‘romance’ there was, this book would be excellent for fantasy readers but I found it boring because there was absolutely zero romance and it’s just about dystopian stuff.)

The Shadow of the Wind – Carlos Ruiz Zafon (I will be honest and say that this would be the best book ever if they subtracted the whole whiny "I love her, I want her. make her love me." It’s mentioned once or twice and parts of story have to do with it but the book is VERY good that you can ignore it.)

I like a lot of fantasy books and right now I can’t find a good one. I’ve read The Hunger Games and Percy Jackson. And please don’t put Harry Potter, don’t get mad at me but the Harry Potter books have never interested me. I’ve tried to read them but never really got into it. So please tell me some good fantasy books.

Never read a sci fi/ fantasy book before. Always read books on medicine,science and nature and horror novels. Also greatly enjoy biography’s. Whom are your favorite sci fi/fantasy writers? Which books do you recommend ?

Personally, I can’t choose. Philip K Dick is high on the list, but at the moment I’m obsessed with Ted Chiang’s "Stories of Your Life: and Others."

I watched in the early nineties, do not remember even one time say, two people (maybe wrong) are in the desert of some buildings, remember that above all etitmi buildings is some force field through which they can not pass, they still chtoli some demon has there. It seems there are more electrical wires to a film treatment, though could be wrong.

It does not, in my film structures are likely to be a base, a group of houses can, just remember the force field, a place like the desert, at the expense of the rest could be wrong.

So I’ll suggest watching a science fiction movie that’s got some humor to it. How about "Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the Fifth Dimension"….it’s a CLASSIC!

I’ve read all of Robert Jordan, Brandon Sanderson, Brett Weeks, David Eddings, and most other big authors.

i write YAFIC. books, and i would like to know the name of a company that publishes new authors. as well as books that are dodgey and use language. i know some companies but most of them only want clean books.

Most publishers also want people who know basic grammar and spell correctly.

You might want to look into submitting your work to literary journals first. However, you can pick up a copy of "Writer’s Market" (or you can go to the library and look at it there because it’s quite expensive.)

After you’ve browsed through the publishers…you have to learn how to write a great query letter/book proposal. Without one (and it has to be perfect) the editors won’t even consider you.
