Great, creative film. Nobody today could even think of doing anything like it. It’s all useless like “Transformers” and “GI Joe”…the theater has become a playpen full of kid’s toys, not a place for thinking adults.

Interviews following initial screenings of the film describe a “mythical light-trip” finale, recalling much of Kubrick’s ‘2001 – A Space Odyssey’: “…visions of possible outcomes for Humanity in relationship to the new intelligence now given to the ants… a perplexing montage of bio-cosmic evolution similar to that at the climax of ‘2001′…”

Neither the VHS nor recent DVD editions contain this footage which is unfortunately considered “lost” according to Paramount.
