6. Grieg In the Hall of the Mountain King
Mood: Sneaking Around and Stalking

This well-known piece has seen extensive use in movies and commercials, usually in accordance with an ominous event. In the Hall of the Mountain King was famously used in the 1931 film M, in which Peter Lorre’s character whistles it. The song also appears during the teaser trailer of Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Funny Games, Bride Wars and Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian. It is also played over the end credits of the Woody Allen film Scoop.
8. LA MER (The Sea) by Claude Debussy, ‘Dialogue du vent et de la mer’ (Dialogue of the Wind and the Sea)
9. THE MIRACULOUS MANDARIN by Bela Bartok, perhaps one of the most truly terrifying works in the classical repertoire. With shrieking strings, extended trombone glissandi and a chilling wordless chorus.
10. ‘Mars, the Bringer of War’ from THE PLANETS by Gustav Holst
11. FESTE ROMANE (Roman Festivals) by Ottorino Respighi

***ATTENTION – PLEASE READ***

If this movie was available as a free download with the option to donate using Paypal, would you be interested? Would you actually donate? and how much would you be prepared to give?

Please leave your answers in the comments or contact me directly.

I am working on a solution to combat piracy and studio domination. I believe all information and works of art should be available freely. However we live in a world where money is required to survive. The artists are the ones getting screwed over by everyone. People downloading illegally means that money is not made from the artwork, song, movie, etc. Not that this matters as more than likely the artist has had to sign over all of the rights to their work over to a distribution company for a mere pittance, just to get it out there.

I feel if we, the artists, give our work away freely and ask for a small donation in return if you get some value from our creation, we can bypass the morally bankrupt distribution companies and make a living out of what we do. If we make enough money we can keep making more projects for you, the audience, to enjoy.

I also feel that this puts pressure back on us to create great quality content instead of pumping out any old crap. Cause if you don’t like it, you aint gonna pay for it. Unlike now, where you pay regardless.

If you have any ideas or suggestions about this, please leave them in the comments or contact me directly.

Lost: Black Earth

Directed by James Cole and produced by Chris Daniels, Lost: Black Earth is a science Fiction, Action, Adventure movie inspired by the great movies like Star Wars, The Postman, Omega Man, Starship Troopers and the apocalyptic feel and tones of Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead and Day of the Dead.

The Story
Escaping a devastating attack on her space station, the N.O.H.A.Gen. scientist Myola Jackson (Marianthe Esse) finds herself uncontrollably heading toward Earth in her damaged capsule.
Crashing on a coastline off Austrasia, she awakens to find herself lost on a hostile continent. Washed ashore, she is rescued by a Romid Warrior, Wez DeMillen (Jamie Wilson) and his son Gart (Dale DeSilva), who quickly find themselves pursued by the Kryslum aliens intent on her destruction.
To reach the safety of the coastal town of Dignity Bay, they embark on an epic journey through the treacherous and unpredictable environment.
Constantly pursued by the evil Kryslums, they are joined by an eccentric hermit scientist known only as Fergus (Peter Davies), who helps them rescue a Kryslum slave soldier they call José (Cameron Plant).
Together this band of misfits defeat the odds only to discover that the people of Dignity Bay are being held captive by the Kryslums. As it appears all hope is lost and chaos rules, they must fight in the last days of the black earth to bring forth a new dawn.

Full of cool visual effects, stunts and award winning sound design, this project was originally concieved to act as a show reel to help raise further financing for much bigger projects.

You can purchase the full movie by download from the VOD section of DVD Empire
A short film I was in for the 48 HOUR FILM FESTIVAL
Filmed May 3, 2008
*WINNER OF THE AUDIENCE FAVORITE*

The rules are: you have 48 hours to WRITE the script, SHOOT the film, EDIT, SCORE & have a finished project! You do NOT pick your genre, it’s assigned to you! Ours was THRILLER / SUSPENSE. You also have a TIME LIMIT, CHARACTER NAMES (Janis and or Jacob), PROPS (a jewel), a line of DIALOGUE (”wait and see”), and one character had to be TEACHING/INSTRUCTING. So with all of those elements incorporated, here’s our finished film!

So for the record ~ no, i didn’t write, direct, edit, etc. I was hired to act in this!

It was SO much fun but a very draining day! Got up at 3:30 am to be to our location, got the script, started planning how we’d do it all & the filming finished by about 6 pm. HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL INVOLVED ON THIS FILM!!!!

And yes, my name IS misspelled on the credits!
It’s supposed to be Manzanares

*FINAL* audio mix / music by Dave Evanoff ~ want to hire him? check the last link on the sites listed under the autoplay vid!
