Known for wearing an accentuated top hat (earning himself the nickname “The cat in the Hat”), he is regarded by some as one of the greatest guitarists of all time.

Guitars

Slash owns 80-90 guitars. Among them are the following:

    * Gibson
o Les Paul Slash Custom Shop model
o 1987 Les Paul Standard with 3 piece top (Factory Second) (Slash’s main live guitar with cracked neck in 2 places; repaired)
o 1958 Les Paul replica built by Chris Derrig
o 1959 Les Paul replica built by Chris Derrig (some people think that it’s a Max Baranet Les Paul replica, but it’s not)
o Standard and Custom Les Pauls
o 1957-58-59-60 Les Paul Reissue
o 2004 Signature (Velvet Revolver)
o 1963 & 1965 Melody Makers
o 1959 Flying V
o ES-335
o Firebird VII
o J-100
* Fender
o A Squier
o 1952 Telecaster
o 1956 Stratocaster
o 1965 Stratocaster
o 2006 JazzMaster
* Ernie Ball/Musicman
o Silhouette
* Guild
o 1999 Crossroads Doubleneck (”Godzilla”)

Sigh… This video doesn’t work for some people, it’s not my fault… it works for me and some other people. Try clicking “Watch this video in higher quality”. It does this now and then the only thing i suggest is to wait for it to load or try firefox, However there is a video response which is the same video as this, that works usually so if you want to watch the video you can watch that . It will work soon its happened before its just youtube been dodgy. Sorry if it doesn’t work for you.

I’d just like to say thankyou for the 5 Million views on this video but lets be honest….. Slash and Zakk Deserve abit more than that don’t you think?:) Zakk and slash i salute you! for rocking this world!

I know everyone is going to completely ignore what i say because stopping arguments on youtube is impossible but all the comments on this video are just “oh zakks so much better than slash”, “slash kicks the out of zakk”, “steve vai all over these”, “michael angelo batio can play way faster than this and is better than both of them” or “jimmy hendrix is way better than both of these”
Can i just ask what is the point?? It’s a video of two guitarists trying to play a really good show for there fans they don’t give a who is better or who is faster or which guitarist has the most emotion. I uploaded it because some slash and zakk fans might enjoy watching it too and if you have something bad to say about any guitarist just off cause tbh they are just doing what they enjoy most and making a living out of it. EVERYONE HAS DIFFERENT TASTES IN MUSIC!
Thanks
